Libby Computes
Libby has lately been very interested in typing on our computer. I found her this lap top at Radio Shack on super sale. She loves "typing" and using the mouse. This picture is also demonstrating a HUGE MILESTONE. She actually now looks at the camera and smiles instead of just saying "hold it" and reaching for the camera. Sometimes.

Sarah EATS!
This weekend Sarah turned into a hungry hungry hippo again where I just couldn't keep up. I decided I have procrastinated enough and it was time to try solids. Libby has always been such a tough eater that I didn't even want to get started. So, I sat Sarah in the high chair last night. She ate every single bite of the rice cereal (and would have eaten more). She didn't really even make a mess. She ate her regular breastmilk, some formula, and then more milk before bed. Then she still ate at 1:30 and 6:00 am. Can you say growth spurt?
The Children's Museum
We bought a membership to the Children's Museum in Seattle. It is SO fun. Derek especially loved the Japanese section where they have a house, a store, and a Japanese vending machine. I loved the little restaurants where the kids can make and serve "food". I was so into that stuff when I was a kid. Here Libby is poking her head out of the ticket office of the "theater".

Background Change...
So I know that it isn't St. Patrick's day yet, so the shamrocks could stay for another couple of days...but I am changing for a couple of reasons.
1. I ABHOR seeing holiday decorations after the fact. The only exception is that Christmas can stay up until Jan. 1 or 2nd. (Just ask my mom. I have given her lots of abuse about this.)
2. It is going to be a busy week. I am subbing 4 classes this week and I have enrichment and a primary meeting and a bodypump meeting.
3. MY PARENTS ARE COMING THIS WEEKEND! (So of course I need to prepare by cleaning my house and doing a bit of advance cooking).
4. Besides, even in a non-busy week I never know when I will update again these days. One diaper blowout can change everything :)
5. I need some flowers in my life (what could be better than purple--my favorite color) because it is once again SNOWING IN SEATTLE today. Seriously.

Rolling Rolling Rolling
Sarah is so good at rolling that I really shouldn't put her on the counter when I am getting her ready for the bath. Especially if I have to move over and check the water temp. But I put my hand up to keep her from rolling off the counter. She managed to roll the other way and into the sink. It was so cute I had to run and get the camera before I rescued her.

Those Fillmore Boys
Libby and Reid Sarah and Gideon
You may remember that as Libby was struggling to grow and gain weight, my best friend Emmi couldn't stop her "little" Reid from growing.
Well check out their #2, Gideon. He is two and a half months younger than Sarah.
I love all 4 of them to bits! (Even though Reid loves Derek best, I still love him).

Our Family
Sitting Sarah
Sarah is learning to sit. She is a bit uncomfortable sitting and she starts to slide to the side, but I am looking forward to this. Our doctor said that once she starts sitting she will probably stop spitting up so much. That would be great! It will reduce my laundry load significantly! Right now I have to do a load of blankets and spit rags twice a week. Not to mention all of her clothes and my clothes :)

Sarah Grows Up!
Sarah had her 4 month appointment this week. Here are her stats:
Weight: 13 lbs. 5 oz. 40% (she has been 40% pretty much her whole life...so it is good she is staying about the same.)
Height: 25 inches! 70%! (No wonder she is outgrowing jammies like crazy!)
Head Circ: 16 3/8" 55% (Smarty :)
She learned a new skill this week. Rolling over. She just started trying on Friday, so I thought it would take her awhile to figure it out. Nope, she managed it Saturday evening. She is already trying it on the changing table. Sigh.

Libby Mows the Lawn
Derek decided it was time to mow the lawn on Friday. Libby agreed. Finally that annoying lawnmower I bought her came in handy! The two did quite a nice job.
