This year we only have one performer in the Nutcracker from our house, Miss Sarah is a mouse (again). She has really loved performing. It has been lots of time and sitting around for this volunteer/mom.
Due to snow, things didn't exactly go according to plan. All of the schools who were supposed to come to the show on Friday morning didn't come because their schools were closed. But, Miss Sue said, the show must go on! So we sold $5 tickets to anyone who came by (including the siblings of many performers--like Libby and Ben) and a home school group and filled the house about 1/2 way. This meant that Libby and Ben saw the show 2x on Friday, but I think they liked it both times. Libby even said she may come back to dance next year!
Currently I am backstage waiting for the final show to start. I'm ready for a nap! Holiday show is tomorrow and then the season gets a little (only a little) less crazy!
