Sarah's Better!

The tonsilitis is gone. The teething grumpiness continues...But Sassy Sarah is always ready to have fun.

Sunday Mornings

Now that we have late church, we have a good time on Sunday mornings. This morning we ate waffles, did pedicures, and Libby played the clarinet (aka medicine syringe--she is the one who decided it was a clarinet.)
I straightened Libby's hair. People at church were amazed at how different she looked. Actually, so was I.

UGH! Tonsilitis!

Sarah has Tonsilitis. It has been ugly. Won't eat, fever, whining, stuffy nose, yuck! She has been on the anibiotic for 2 days now, so of course she also has MAD diaper rash. I am getting the cold too. But hopefully we will have it all out of our systems for our trip to UT for Brian's wedding!

Sarah watching the Baby

I am bbsitting a friend's little one--we trade. She takes Libby with her to the music class she teaches, and I watch her newborn. It is an amazing trade, all in my favor! Her is Sarah watching and loving baby Evelyn.

Our Marilyn

As you loyal readers know, Libby LOVES to wear her slip all the time. I have to beg her to take it off. One of her favorite activities is standing over the heat vents when they are on to achieve the billowing effect. I did not pose her for this pic.

Libbyisms

Libby was "feeding" Derek a snack after dinner the other night. She gave him some french fries (the plastic kind). Then she stopped and asked, "do you want frosting?" Of course, who says no to frosting on their french fries. So she proceeded to put "mustard" on them from our old mustard bottle. When she handed the fried back she said, "be careful daddy, they are spicy."

Libbyisms

Today I took Libby and Sarah to Home Depot to look at a few items. Before we left Libby kicked Sarah in the face (yes, wearing shoes). So I put her in time-out. I told her it was because she had kicked Sarah on purpose. Later, at Home Depot Libby was sitting on the edge of the cart (the kind that have the extra two seats in the back --and she wasn't sitting on one of the seats, she was perched on the edge, right next to my feet. Her bottom was about 4 inches from the ground.) We hit some sort of bump and she slid off onto the ground. She looked at me and said, with a tone I recognized. "Mommy, you did that on purpose!"

Go Shorewood!

On Friday night we braved the drive to Auburn High School (took us about an hour and a half) to show Derek our love and support and to cheer on his 3 wrestlers that were left at the Regional Tournament. We got there in time to see Daniel lose by 1, then Sam lose by 1. Then we had to wait a round to see Brandon pin his man. Then we had to wait a round to see Daniel lose by 1 and Sam lose by 1. It was a painful night. It was a fun to spend time with Grammy and Grandpa, though. I don't recommend going to anything at Auburn High School where you have to sit in the bleachers with small kids. They are NOT safe. Luckily the girls could run and play with lots of other kids behind the bleachers in an upper gym. They had a great time. (Sarah drank too much water, then ran too hard and threw up, but she didn't seem to even notice.)

"Mommy, does this match?"

Yes, she actually asked me that while wearing a onsie, her monkey pajama top, the slip, the "sleeping beauty dress", and the husky cheer outfit (inside out) on top. I love this girl's sense of style. But when we are leaving the house, I tell her she has to go out as a princess in disguise. She takes off her finery and puts on regular clothes. Sometimes she tells me no...but would you let your beautiful daughter go out in any of these outfits?

Children's Museum

Our Children's Museum here is amazing. They had this great Sesame Street exhibit that we missed. Boo. We were there the week before it opened and the week after it closed. Dang. But we still had fun there anyway

Spring is in the AIR!

This year I am really looking forward to spring. We have had a couple of nice days lately. The girls had fun running around outside.
