Imagine that??

So many of you may not know this, but I had two imaginary friends Andrea and Celery (I do not know where I got the names). Libby appears to have some too. Hers are Grover and Guy Smiley.

I was reading her a story the other day and I told her to sit near me, and she said "Okay, Guy Smiley, sit right here (indicating next to her)!"

She also told Rachel that we were feeding the dogs yesterday while we were swimming at Emmi's. No dogs in sight. I love her creativity.

Stats

Libby and Sarah had their well baby checks yesterday.

Some interesting stats:
Libby
Weight: 21 lbs. 5%
Height: 32" 8%
Head Circ: 17 3/4" 50%

Sarah
Weight: 18 lbs. 14 oz. 50%
Height 27 3/4" 50%
Head Circ. 17 3/4" 75%

So they have the same size head. But other than that, Sarah is due to overtake Libby any day now in weight. It is hilarious. It was also interesting, Libby (who won't sit still for anything) sat still and was so good for her check up. She wasn't a fan of the shot of course, but as she was crying she said, "I have a tiger bandaid on my leg."

Vacation TIME!

Well, we went on vacation. How relaxing is a vacation with little kids? Not very. And although I had several things I could legitimately complain about (ear infections, a cold x 6, sleepless nights, etc.), it was (especially in hindsight) a really fun vacation! The company was amazing, my kids got to be with grandparents and great grandparents, the food was pretty yummy, the weather was stellar, the waverunners were awesome, the river was lazy, I had a great travel companion in my brother, I could go on...but I will sum up by saying it was a good time! Libby's vocabulary grew (especially of people's names!). Her favorite names were her aunts and uncles and grandparents of course, and Mike, Carli (a dog), and Edward. She loved to say that we were in Salmon. Sarah got closer to walking and made it through her ear infection even though it took 3 kinds of antibiotics to make it! (We have an appt. with the ear dr. on Friday.)

There are too many pictures to include here now, so I will have to do something fun with them to add to the blog. Stay tuned.

Libbyisms

Here are some of Libby's latest favorite phrases:
"Oh my GOSH!" (I definitely say this too much!)
"I hold you!" (Which means, "will you hold me?" and is accompanied by holding out her arms to you)
"Can I have some of ___, please?" When she says that whole beautiful polite sentence, can I help but give her whatever she asks for?

4th of July girls

(Libby didn't want to sit right there for some reason...)

I loved their little 4th of July outfits. I know that I put them up at the top of the blog, but here are a few more shots.

Our Garden

I am quite proud of our garden this year, we have already had several zucchini, lots of peas (sugar snap and snow) and everything else is growing like gangbusters. My flowers out front look good too. The daisies I can't take credit for, but they look amazing!

Sarah Standing

Sarah has started pulling herself up on anything and everything. She is so cute about it. She has also started trying to take things from Libby. Boy does Libby hate this taste of her own medicine!

Beach time!

Right now my best friend from my mission is here with her family! Yesterday we went to Matthews Beach on what was probably the BEST beach weather day in Seattle EVER. We had a blast!

( I think we need to hire Luke to come and stay with us to help Libby eat. He just kept handing her food and she just kept eating it!)

Grandma and Grandpa's visit

My parents came to stay while Derek was at wrestling camp. It was SO great to have them here! Libby and Sarah really enjoyed time with Grandpa and Grandma.

We wore them out!
