Helpful Libby

Go Shorewood!

Sarah, getting her cheerleader on!

Books we love...

I have absolutely fallen in love with Amy Krouse Rosenthal's books. My favorites are theOKbook, It's Not Fair, Cookies: Bite Sized, Life Lessons, and Little Hoot. Her books are so much fun to read to your kids. Check them out.

Also, we are into Fancy Nancy. Here, we are having our own spa day, based on the one Fancy Nancy has in Bonjour Butterfly. Libby wanted a mask like Fancy Nancy, but when I put it on first she got kind of scared and didn't want it after all. Then after I left the room she grabbed the mask and put a dot on her nose. Sarah had her toenails painted for the first time. She held up each foot for me to paint. Hilarious!

Ode to Sarah

Lately I have gotten some great random shots of Sarah that I haven't shared. She is starting to ask for things by name and is so fun (and mischievous)!

Wearing a lovely hat.

She thought something might be wrong after she took that last bite, but she couldn't figure out what....

I did finally take it off for her.

Here she is with her Red Robin balloon.

Speaking of Up Chuck

Libby just barfed all over the chapel. It was insane how much barf came out of her body. I am relieved that her clingyness all morning had a reason, and sad that she barfed on my coat, in my friend Sherri's purse, and just about everywhere else. Good thing we were on the front row of the overflow, or the row in front of us would have been drenched!

Utah Trip II

My birthday celebration in Utah. I turned 33! Libby helped me blow out my candles. (3 and 3, see that?) Nick took me shopping for my birthday. He got me some sweet pants--True Religion jeans. I never thought I would love wearing jeans so much!
Rachel took me and Emily to the MAC counter at Nordy's for a makeover. Don't we look hot?
We always have to go to Up-Chuck-a-rama when we go to Utah. I only ate 2 scones. I was quite proud of myself.

Utah Trip

We went on a quick little trip to Utah. I packed a lot in, but still wasn't able to see everyone I love there. But here are some photo highlights.
Meeting Brian's fiance, Bryn

Spending a little alone time with my husband. I emphasize little time, but when you are married with two kids, you will take what you can get!

Being present for Andrew and Melissa's wedding. It was a great day (Andrew is one of Derek's buddies.)

Getting to spend time in Rexburg with Emily. We hung out and talked about teaching. And ate at Craigo's twice. Yum.

Libby's Menu

Yesterday Libby told me what she wanted for her snack.

"Mommy, I want peanut butter, jelly and a baseball bat."

I don't know if she had even seen this, but we have sung it to her.

Tonight, she just said she wanted, "more baseball bat."

Libby Sings

Libby loves to sing the abcs. Here she adds a surprise ending. Not sure where she got this one from, but I love it nonetheless :)

Skills

So I use this blog to keep track of new skills my girls learn. Then when I do their birthday photo book, I can go back through the blog to figure out what to put in their books. So, if it seems like I engage in serious bragging sometimes, I am, but it has a purpose :)
Sarah's new skills:
If you ask her she can point to and say: Nose, teeth, eye, and ear
She makes a whole heap of animal sounds.
She can now go DOWN stairs. Hooray. But she did have a little crash on the bleachers tonight. And I bumped her head when putting her into her crib too. Crash course kind of a day.

Libby's quote of the day:
"Mommy, you are being a pill....I am not freaking out."
I knew it was only a matter of time before I got that one back.

Chinese Princesses

My sister Emily spent the last semester in China teaching English. She brought us back some amazing stuff...the girls favorite is the dresses.

Fashion Sense

Our little family certainly has our own sense of style. Here is Libby sporting some snowboots (she put the boots and socks on all by herself!) and Sarah sporting a sweet mohawk. Her pomade mixture is a secret that I will share with you...peanut butter, banana, cheerios and milk (then style using a washcloth meant to wash out the pomade from the hair.)
