LIBBY POOPED IN THE POTTY TODAY!!!

Hence the pictures of her in her big girl panties! (With diaper underneath of course, I am no dummy, I understand that it was purely coincidence at this point).

She does seem quite proud of herself, doesn't she?

Sarah Having Fun!

Sarah loves jumping around in her saucer. She seriously gets going in there until she is rocking that thing. She seems to be doing it on purpose.

Libby and Reid

Today I watched Reid while Emmi went to the store. Libby stole every toy he picked up, but he would just look at me as if to say--"hmmm, guess I will find something else to play with...she sure is annoying!" Then, I saw them walking around holding hands. I could tell it was Libby's idea. I ran for the camera (mostly because Dan hates to see this kind of thing :) and they had taken a break, but Libby wanted more! (BTW, she pretty much refuses to hold my hand when I want her to...hmmm.)

Hooray for the END of WRESTLING SEASON

High School season that is...just over a month left of middle school season. I haven't even written much about the lonely hours as a wrestling widow, but they have been long and hard. Let's just say I am looking forward to having my husband back.

He did end up with a successful season. Two of the wrestlers ended up at the state tournament. Neither placed, but one is a sophomore, so the future looks very bright!

Libby "Outside!"

We have had some beautiful days and I am SO thankful for our beautiful backyard. Libby absolutely adores playing out there. Most of the time she looks like this blurry picture she is so happy running from place to place. Occasionally she stops to enjoy a stick...or rock.

Libby the Hairstylist

Libby loves combs and brushes. (Usually to eat). But here she demonstrates that she knows what they are really for. I had just finished painting her toenails, she decided to do my hair.

BathTime Fun

I love bath pictures. I decided to take some and frame them in the bathroom so I will always have a reason to smile every time I go in there (even if I am going to clean up a mess ;)

Also, Libby got one of her first spankings last week for standing up in the bath. It just didn't feel safe to have her standing up (and she was giving me that look like MAKE ME SIT DOWN...) It has seriously helped, now I just have to remind her and she sits down. Libby has even taken to shouting "Sit Down LIBBY!"

But I guess in this case she forgot for a moment that she was supposed to be sitting. Yesterday I turned my back because I was changing Sarah and Libby fell out of the tub. She was quite unhappy, but unhurt. At this age it seems she is all about learning things the hard way!

My Goals

Today I found a list of goals I wrote in 2002 right before I moved to Seattle. It was fun to see that I have accomplished quite a few of the goals.

-teach at a high school

-go to Prague again

-get married

-have children

-get an MA

-refinish furniture (see pic of nightstand I finished this week)

Yet to accomplish:

-win major writing prize

-publish book

-get a Phd

-design clothes

-liposuction ??? (I put the question marks in the original goal...now it just makes me laugh.)

-be in a movie

-visit Russia

And many more. Isn't life crazy? I think most of my goals that I wrote at that time will be on hold while I am raising my amazing daughters....they have been replaced by different ones. Libby potty trained? :)

Sarah in the Saucer

Sarah was clearly getting BORED with the bouncy seat. So I brought down the saucer from the garage. I thought she might be too young, but she loves it!

I have finally been catching up on other blogs....Sarah is 4 months old on Saturday...I am finally getting back into the swing! Anyway, where are all of you getting these fun backgrounds?

They are looking SO much alike!

I just love baby Sarah! I especially love that she is finally getting over this yucky cold. She slept from 8 pm to 4 am! Then ate and slept again until 7 am then ate and slept until 9 am. Hooray!

My Dining Room

So officially for the month of February I am working on the Master Suite with my $200.00 projects. But, I have been hunting for a dining set and needing to paint the kitchen since we moved in.
Here is how it worked (thank you Craig's list)
Bought a used dining table at DI $55.00
Found the amazing antique set with buffet on Craig's list $325.00 (delivered :)
Sold our old ghetto Ikea set -$45.00
Sanded down and sold the table I bought at DI -$150.00
So total for new dining room furniture: $130.00 NOT BAD!

Sick Days

So we have been passing a cold around the family. I have it now. The girls aren't sleeping well. We are all exhausted and sickly. I have some super fun footage of Libby to post. Mabye later if I feel up to it :)
