Nicknames

We have always been a nickname family. From the time my mom called me "Elmo" in utero and then "squish" through my growing up years, until now--nicknames just have a familiar loving feel to them. Libby has gotten into this mode. She has started calling Derek "Pop" or "Pops" or "Papa" (these came from the Shirley Temple movie _Little Miss Broadway_ ). She has also started calling Sarah "Sissy." I love it because it reminds me of one of my favorite aunts, Aunt Sandra who we always called Aunt Sissy.
