Hallow-Giving

While most of the world has been looking forward to and celebrating Thanksgivukkah, Derek inadvertently started a new tradition in our family. Hallow-giving.  It is when people decide they need to wear their Halloween costumes to Thanksgiving dinner.  It all started when Derek decided to wear the shirt I bought him to be Wreck it Ralph for Halloween.  Ben saw this and instantly demanded to wear his Fix it Felix costume.  We were both surprised that he even recognized the shirt, but that kid has a steel trap mind for certain things.
When we got to Maren's, we discovered that we weren't alone in the costume department.  Paige was sporting a sweet crown and Kaj was wearing a ninja mask.  We have so much to be thankful for this year!  I guess dressing up made it feel that much more festive!

The whole crew....oh wait, except for the people who misread the email and thought dinner started at 4 instead of 3.  I only had a minor meltdown when we discovered we had an hour to wait.
